Many carriers charge you a monthly recurring fee (between $1 - $20 per month) for you to have a 800, 888, or 877 toll free number. SECRETS ON HOW TO LOWER YOUR 
800, 888, 877 & 866 COSTS

KEEP IT SIMPLE!  All of our plans offer the great long distance rates, with toll free service available for those same rates.
If you are going to get a toll free number, or you have an existing one that you want to change to a better rate, sign up for a program that offers you the best long distance and toll free rates.  By doing this, you simplify your billings, while cutting costs on your long distance and getting an inexpensive 800/888/877 service. Many carriers charge a premium for calls using toll free 800 technology; i.e., 10 cents for call to the US, and 15 cents for calls via 800, from the US.  All of our carriers charge the same rate for inbound and outbound calls. Toll Free rates differ by intrastate (within state) and interstate (state-to-state) rates just like outbound long distance. While most toll free 800/888/877 carriers charge 13-29 cents per minute with a monthly fee, we offer numerous programs from 5.9 to 7.9 cents per minute with no monthly fees.

IT IS YOUR 800 NUMBER. ISN'T IT?
Afraid that you will lose your 800/888/877 number by changing carriers?  Any toll free number you have is yours to keep, unless it has a PIN number associated with it.  In this case, the number belongs to the carrier, and others have that same toll free number, just with a different PIN.  If you do have a toll free number, and it is not a PIN service, you can switch it to another carrier.  This is called "800 Portability" so if you want to move it to a new carrier for lower fees, or any other reason, you can.
